Challenge Shanghai is a triathlon in Haiwan Town, Fengxian District, about 60 km from Shanghai city centre and the airports. The Challenge Family race page lists 24 October 2026. The event's own website shows the 2026 edition as 24-25 October, with the middle distance on the 24th and the standard and sprint distances on the 25th.
The middle distance is the main race: 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run. It includes a Pro race and a Tri Together option. The standard distance is 1.5 km / 40 km / 10 km, also with a Tri Together option, and the sprint is 750 m / 20 km / 5 km.
The swim is in a lake. The bike route follows the north bank of Hangzhou Bay, and the run goes through Haiwan National Forest Park. On the middle distance, elevation is 56 m on the bike and 8 m on the run. Typical conditions are about 23°C air, 22°C water and 10 km/h wind. Entry includes a medal, a T-shirt and a swim cap. The event website shows an Official Qualifier badge for The Championship.
