XTERRA South Africa takes place in the Elgin Valley at Grabouw, Western Cape, about an hour from Cape Town. The Full Distance Triathlon covers 1500m swim, 28km bike with 623m elevation, and a 10km trail run. A Sprint Triathlon and new Run/Bike/Run Duathlon are also offered. This annual event opens the XTERRA World Tour season.
